oh sorry braveheart, I forgot to thank you and truelove for your replies, I don't see him having a change of attitude towards us as he doesn't get in touch any more to either of us, and quite frankly I don't want him to, maybe him offering us a lump sum is just a tad of the guilt he is feeling, after all he expected us to go with nothing.
