I'm not a bad cook - I just don't get any enjoyment out of it. I really enjoy dinner party entertaining - I like all the really intricate dishes - one of my all time faves is Grand Marnier souffles - they go down a real treat. I'm not so hot on syllabubs.( Obviously I have a thing about Grand Marnier and like you sara I like cooking with alcohol - hic - that's when it actually gets as far as in the food!!!!!).
Does anyone have PennyB's email. I want to get in contact with her. I don't even know her thread and I have tried searching for her but not been successful.
Are you ok sara? I hope you haven't burnt yourself badly.

I meant a bad mess. I still haven't had my coffee yet. Trying to find a coffee maker that will work. My arms OK. But coffee and coffee grounds everywhere. In the drawer and cabinet under the counter, it shorted out the stove, on the walls, the refrigerator. everywhere.
Well, that was worth waiting for. I made a great cup of coffee in espresso maker, and had steamed milk to boot.
Saffie, is tonight a special dinner with the big roast? I love making roast beef. I put bits of garlic into the meat, and then slather it with dark mustard. Just like my grandmother made it.
Haven't even checked the cat yet today. He was taking the tuna juice and water pretty nicely last night, but still wouldn't eat on his own or budge from his spot.
The coffee pot was a glass coffee press. They warn you not to press too hard. But how do you know what too hard is until you do it? It popped a piece of glass out of the bottom and the coffee shot everywhere.
I'll have to get a grand marnier souffle recipe from you. My specialty is chocolate mousse, and I put some grand marnier in that to give it an unexpected flavor.
No - it's not a special dinner. We always have a roast on a Sunday but usually Chris cooks it as he tends to cook at the weekend to give me a rest from doing it Monday to Friday. I am actually very lucky as he is a great cook - I have never had to do a Christmas dinner yet in over 20 years of marriage!!!!!
Tonight it is roast chicken and all the trimmings. I'd better sign off for a while and go and concentrate on it otherwise it will be a disaster. I'll be back on later.
Enjoy your coffee.
Saffie ps Mark gives great mouth to mouth even if it has been 162 days....or perhaps because it has been 162 days - but then whose counting!!!!!
