It's a kind of therapy specifically designed for couples, based on a book by Harville Hendrix called getting the love you want. I recommend the book, and the kid of therapy/therapist if you can find one. You can learn more at http://www.gettingtheloveyouwant.com. It is more theroy based than DBing, but more solutions based than a lot of other therapy. I think it goes well with the DB plan of attack.

Thanks for the info! That is actually a book that my H's C recommended to him and he bought. I don't think he has started reading it yet though. He is reading another one right now called "Fighting for your Marriage" - but he still will not do joint C w/me.

Well, that is fantastic that he is reading those books. You could read the Hendrix book. It is for couples, and there is a related workbook, and the basic premise is that we all actually, subconsciously, seek potential conflict with our partners so we can try to resolve unhealed wounds from childhood. In other words, the conflict in our marriages is unavoidable, and actually good/desirable so we can become more . . . whole or healthy. It's a cool theory, and makes sense. What you have to understand is that it all happens at, and we are almost entirely driven by, the subconscious level. So it may not make sense logically (you may not feel like this happened to you), but after thinking about it it does seem to explain a lot.

Nomo \:\)

Hey Nomo --

That update explains a lot...thanks for sharing it...

And I must say i'm quite curious as to what in the heck went on on this thread between Friday post-working hours and Sunday?! Must have gotten pretty hot and bothered to get several days worth of posts deleted!!

Hugs to you...

Hi Everyone! Bump! Tons to report, but no energy drive to do it. Had another JC session this morning. Had one last week too. We see the CP together Friday. Then next week we each see the C alone. Guess all I can say is things are intense. Lots of emotions. Lots of intensity. Can't say it's good or bad. Just not sure. Guess what I really ought to do is re-read Dr and take my last two coaching sessions, but I'm barely motivated to do so.

I hope everyone is doing well. I miss all my friends here.

Later,
Nomo

Can't wait to hear the update when you're ready! Hope things have been going well for you and your DBing. I'm really interested in hearing what the W has had to say...

It's been nice to hear from you, brotha -- keep your PMA going!

Hi Nomo- You sound pretty good. I guess intensity is better than being in a funk... It sounds like you're at a crucial turning point. I hope things swerve in the "right" direction! \:\)
