THanks, everyone, for the good wishes. I am leaving tomorrow for a long-planned trip with my sister and my mom (this was our 75th birthday present to our mom). I'm looking forward to it, but to be truthful, today I am also filled with dread. You see, it was 5 years ago when I took my mom to London that H started his affair. And he's been so depressed lately with all the job antics and going back to his old employment, and has been so distant with me - well, frankly, he just seems so vulnerable again.
But - I just have to let go of my expectations, what will be will be. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime deal and I refuse to let it be spoiled.
