AmyC,

I'm sorry I don't have much to add....except you know the drill. Keep your eyes on God! He WILL give you (AND JEFF) a way out! I'm praising God daily for being there for me....ESPECIALLY WHEN MY FAITH WAS WEAK!!!!

I love you, dear sis!

Frank you said:

Quote:
Lastly, he needs to talk to another MAN. Not necessarily a 'recovered alcoholic' per se but a man who has had the downs he's had. Men need the input and company of other men to sort out their crap.

I don't know who those men would be.

Hey, you.
Thanks for stopping by.
How 'bout THIS mess, eh?

I'm trying to keep my eyes on God, FH.
I really am trying.

AmyC, read this slowly ...

Habakkuk
Chapter 2
1 I will stand at my guard post, and station myself upon the rampart, And keep watch to see what he will say to me, and what answer he will give to my complaint.
2 Then the LORD answered me and said: Write down the vision Clearly upon the tablets, so that one can read it readily.
3 For the vision still has its time, presses on to fulfillment, and will not disappoint; If it delays, wait for it, it will surely come, it will not be late.

WOMAN!
You rang a bell and sent me searching...look what I wrote 1 week after I moved out of the house last December:

Quote:
Tomorrow evening my internet at the apartment (ok, so I actually refer to it as my "ghetto Barbie townhouse" - but I do it while laughing so don't smack me around for that. It's the only laugh I've had in ages.)

Anyhow, I'll update soon.
But I have to post this now because it will be relevant and I'll also need the reminder.

Habakkuk 2

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost.
There I will wait to see what the Lord says
and how He will answer my complaint...

Then the Lord said to me, "Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed".

Note that the Amplified bible says to wait EARNESTLY

Earnestly defined is:

1. serious in intention, purpose, or effort; sincerely zealous:

2. showing depth and sincerity of feeling: earnest words; an earnest entreaty.

3. seriously important; demanding or receiving serious attention.

4. full seriousness, as of intention or purpose: to speak in earnest.

Every action should be in preparation for the manifestation of our faith, the restoration of our families. I am constantly being distracted, losing hope, getting waylayed...I have yet to find a remedy for that... don't think there is one...it is part of the valley.

My sincere hope is that it makes a difference that I do always seem to get back on course eventually....

"Now the just shall live by faith" the Book of Hebrews says.

Then the way we live, the way others SEE US LIVING, should reflect all of our mutual stands.
How long will any of us stand? I don't know.
I am taking it one single day at a time.
I don't know how long I will endure.

But I know how long all of us CAN endure.
We CAN do it as long as we let God be our strength, our source and our hope.

That's all I know.
Well that and that this valley is an awfully lonely place considering there are so many of us here...

I will update when my internet service is hooked up at the apartment.

Thank you all for the prayers.
I know that's the only thing that caused me to get through the last few days.

WHOA, SNAP! \:o

I AM TRIPPIN' OUT!

PON_DERING just gave me the exact reminder I wrote 9 months ago that I would need.

Holy cow.

It was almost FREAKIN' PROPHETIC.

SHOOT!

It FREAKIN WAS prophetic!

You have no idea what a relief this is...just to be reminded that God has GOT this, too.

SOMEBODY GET ME A TABLET AND A PEN!!

There's just one thing:

Quote:
I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost.

I have no idea where my watchtower is.

I am looking up the original language.
The word that was translated tower is defined as an "entrenchment".

Hold that thought....
