We got D into a new pre-K, D will be attending the one in which I am a member of the church. Finally some collective decision on both our part. W said we can take a look into a Catholic one for next year but we need to act on it quick. W said she would do anything for D to go to a Catholic pre-k even if it means becoming a member of the Catholic church.

I am already a Catholic so it would be easy for me to help her. W said we can do it until WE decide to move to another state. That itself is good new since W is talking about WE again and not I.

All has been good lately, still no talk of the R & M which is good.

Yesterday, I had an appt with my therapist and was advised that I may longer have any sessions since she had seen some major improvements. If I want to, I can make additional appointments. The conclusion of my sessions ended in this manner: I am fully prepare both emotionally and mentally for whatever direction the M & R will go both good or bad. This was the goal I wanted to achieve and have achieved it. It does not mean I have given up, it means I have let go of all the emotional quarms I had.

Here's some food for though.

***************************
Light does not conquer darkness by pushing the darkness out of the way. Rather, the light comes into the darkness and transforms it with brilliant, positive energy.

In the same way, the obstacles in life are not conquered by fighting them on their own terms or attempting to push them out of the way. The best way to move past a difficult situation is to transform it with positive, productive energy.

No matter how much you push against the darkness it will not go anywhere. Yet the moment you shine your light, the darkness is no more.

When you fight against your problems, all it usually accomplishes is to make them stronger and give them more validity. That's certainly not what you would ever intend.

Instead, seek to transform those problems, those difficult situations, by virtue of your own positive values and efforts. Focusing on what you're working toward is far better than being obsessed with whatever you think you're against.

Rather than struggling against the situation, give the best you have to it. Rather than fighting darkness with more darkness, transform that darkness by letting your light shine.

***************************

W and I had a relaxing wknd, no fights, no arguments, nothing whatsover. We didnt do too much since it rained most of the weekend. W bought us dinner and we had dinner together. This has not changed. W still thinking of moving out in approx 18 days. Still keep on saying that 'whenever she gets her own apt bla bla bla..' I keep on saying, 'I will be spending the night bla bla bla..'

No talk of OM, no phone calls to OM. No speak of the M & R. We just live life one day at a time it seems. Just happy to wake up and say. 'Life is as good as you make it, you should be happy to wake up today, Life is precious...'

Sounds good and a very interesting perspective. Darkness is always there, it just disappears when you shine the light on it. Once you turn the light off there is the darkness again.
Good points.

Sounds like good progress in your thread. Happy to hear that! I love even partial success stories! So many just disappear I would like to find a section that talks about the final results for these families.

24, nothing really to report about W and I but I have some good news to report about D.

Yesterday, D started her new pre-k. At first, D was kinda shy since she didnt recognize any kids and teachers so I left her and was not gonna check up on her since she knows how to mingle. I came to pick her up and she looked liked she had a great day. D got her snacks and watched Dora, her favorite. Later, we sat down to have dinner and I asked D what she did today at school. I was totally surprised how D can tell me what she did and what she had for lunch and snacks at school. This is a first since D never says anything about school. Then D was telling me about the furniture and for me to eat my dinner. LOL.

Later, W called and told me she went to Target and she saw a man following her. This man followed her all the way home and drove within the apt complex. We talked about this and I told her if she felt insecure she could have called the cops right away. W is worried about this event happenning and could happend again. I told her to be extremely careful. W didnt sleep too good since she was thinking about this dramatic event all night.

This may be the turning point for W to stay much longer with me since she will not have a man around with her at night if she moves out. And again she will have D with her to worry about too. I have to see what W will do now.

This sounds like a perfect opportunity for you to pull out a little knight in shining armor stuff. Women love to feel protected (but very fine line with that and being possesive or controlling). I would have told her to call you right away before calling the cops - that way it sets you up to be the rescuer - not some other hottie in a cop uniform!

This morning, we discussed what needs to be done. W will get some pepper spray and will not go to stores at night any more. If W needs anything, D and I can always go pick it up after work. We agreed its best for her to not be out since its getting dark very early now. Yeah, I agree she needs a knight in shininig armor. W knows I will protect her as best as I can.

Jokinly, I told her if I get scared too by sleeping on the couch and if she see me coming to sleep on the bed with her, for her not to be chasing me away. W simpy LOL. But in reality I want to cuddle.
