h is entangled by the devil for real. he is surrounded by the world and by their pat answers that everyone can be better because of divorce bla bla bla.
i believe that GOD can do GREAT things...and I also know that He will not force someone to do something htat their will wont allow.
i dont have much faith right now but wuold sure love to have peace...peace that passes understanding and the faith to believe that GOD can do a miracle..

Peace will come through the Word. Get into your Bible DAILY. The Lord will speak through his word. It will comfort you and give you the peace you search for. Try a Psalm a day. Proverbs has 31 chapters - perfect for one every day of the month.
Another great resource is http://www.backtothebible.com . They have a bible study every day that you can watch the video of or sign up and have it delivered to your Email. I spend a portion of my lunch hour at work each day reading these studies. A great blessing.

As far as your marriage being saved - Read the amazing stories in the bible - Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Job, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Saul who was killing Christians before he was chosen by God to preach the Gospel. Read these and the many more. If God can do these things, what will keep him from changing the heart of your H?
Understand that this will be a process though. That's the hardest part for the newest members here. God can choose to change things in an instant, but frequently he prolongs things so that they may show forth HIS glory, not our DBing ;).
Read the story of the raising of Lazarus. Jesus prolonged raising him for many days so that he had a whole crowd of people around and was sure Lazarus was dead and rotting in the grave. Nobody there could argue it was a fluke! Had Jesus healed him from afar(which he certainly could have done) hardly anyone would have noticed. They could of assumed he got over it on his own. Through God's perfect timing, many witnessed the glory of God.
So take heart dear sister, God has great plans for you and your family through this trial.
Psalm 37: 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it leads only to evil.
Read Psalm 27 - Great encouragement there too!
Jeremiah 29: 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Finally, find someone else hurting on this site and give them encouragement. Many times it is when we are giving to others that we are most blessed ourselves!

I feel like Cagzmom. I read the rejoice ministries but I feel so beat the last couple of days. I have been standing since June '06. AmyC thank you for your post I know it is true. At times I'm just so overwhelmed because I'm holding on by myself, surrounded by prodigals, and at times I so want to 'go home' and be loved and talked to.
I read last week that the past weekend was prayer weekend for prodigals to return home. I signed up for the prayer circle at the rejoice ministry and prayed with more conviction and also the hedge of thorn prayer. Last Sunday my DH was over and picked up his phone (which is very rare when he is at home) and talked to this person about how he was dumped by the OW (she actually tried to convince my DH to make up woth OW). I do sense they 'made up again' because my DH old behaviours surviced again but keep praying for strength and return for my DH.
FH. May I ask you about the group of ten men? Did you form this group for your wife to return? I read on a website about a prodigal return prayergroup which you can form yourself. They have had amazing reconcilitations. They started with a group and everyone wrote the name of their Prodigal on a piece of paper. Then they decided to come pray on a regular basis. The names of the prodigals were written with black ink. When a prodigal showed signs of being touched by the light their name was written in blue. After being touched more by the light they wrote the name in red and when the prodigal returned their name was written in (I'm not sure anymore but I believe)white. The power of prayer touched many prodigals.
Well I am very happy for you! THank you very much for sharing your succes. I admit that reading many posts filled with misery and heartache and anger make me feel like there is no use. Thanks everyone for your posts even though we hijacked yours FH!! Your thread encourages me to take another step.

Regarding our 10 men standing (and it is actually growing almost daily)....I believe God brought us together....using the Rejoice Ministries founders Bob and Charlyne Steinkamp. But here's the whole short story....back on March 13th 4Kids posted this to me:
He basically told me to lean on God, ramp up my prayer and quit relying on my fellow man for support. Following this post, another stander (now dear friend) I_Wanna_Make_It_Work dropped in and one of us suggested that we have a 3-way cellphone prayer time. This was an amazing time....we prayed for each other for several hours one Sunday afternoon. Even though there were already lots of positive signs in my sitch...I saw God moving mightily...really in all of our lives. Shortly thereafter, IWMIW and I went to Pompano Beach for the Monday night prayer meeting with the Steinkamp's (actually my 2nd trip there). That too was amazing....but, right after that Bob Steinkamp connected us with a stander in the NJ area (not a DB'er) who wanted to pray with somebody. This small group grew rapidly to 10 men (roughly half DBers...half not) from CT, NY, NJ and PA who have met once a month since April for a dinner and prayer time. We meet at a "central" restaraunt in Long Island or Paramus NJ. In between, we share our prayer requests and praise reports mostly via e-mail...and occasionally via phone. Several of us also meet for dinner in smaller groups of 2 or 3 when the circumstances permit...and it has been an amazing source of strength for all of us. The accountability to each other has been key to keeping our path "straight" when our faith waivers (inevitably). Hope that helps!
BTW, ironically, I have never met my dear friend 4Kids face-to-face (he lives out West)...but, he is really the "founder" of this "Metro NY Stander's" group!...although I also know that he (and I) will be quick to give God the glory!
