Taking a break while my oven is cleaning. We have a holiday today and I am doing a little housework too (having spent most of the weekend playing, I'm afraid, I seem to be the ant rather than the grasshopper). Our office is moving soon so it will be back to sorting thru stuff to pack or throw tomorrow, but moving an office is certainly easier than changing homes. You must really have your hands full.
I remember in grad school there were a number of people who were starting second careers and were older, had kids, etc. I generally didn't hang around w/ them except in study or project situations b/c they usually spent time w/ their families after class or library as that was the only time they could do it and that was their priority. Some of them were working as well. Back then being on the more traditional student track I couldn't even conceive of how difficult this must have been for them. Definitely find yourself a core group that undertstands you and can support you in ways the younger set may not be able to.
