Okay, I've got another student story that happened today. During 6th period one of of my students walked in class. He's a big guy, football star. He was wanting sympathy because his stomach was hurting. He said it hurts right here pointing at his lower stomach area. One of the guys said it's probably gas. He said "no, it's not, but seriously what causes gas pains?" To which I replied, "Usually the high prices at the gas pumps." I thought my students were going to fall out of their chairs laughing. The football player didn't complain one more time of his stomach hurting him. Honestly, I wasn't trying to embarrass him, I was just stating a fact.
