LOL. My mom, in true southern belle style used to have a mini-suitcase (slightly larger than tackle-box size) that she took whenever we went anywhere. We could be going for a two day trip to Galveston, with most of the time to be spent on the beach, along game the giant red makeup case.

W went to open house for D's school. Girls needed baths, so stayed home and took care of them. Once finished she called and asked me if I wanted her to pick up any beer as she was going to the store (yeah, she FINALLY starts drinking beer a year ago and NOW she wants to leave, sigh). So asked her to get me something dark, you know what I like from there. So that was nice, she didn't have to offer.

Came downstairs to tell me good night. Patted/rubbed my shoulder before going up.

Nothing much, but at least some touch most days.

OT raised the boundary issue the other day and ever since I found the photos of her with OM, something has been eating at me. So asked her tonight if she had been seeing OM before she told me ILYBNILWY. She said no. Then I asked if she had been seeing him over the summer, again, no (not too sure about that). At any rate, told her that if she had seen him over the summer I wouldn't have really blamed her because I hadn't given her a reason to really reinvest in our R. She may still be lying, but I had to know. If she had been seeing him prior to April, I couldn't do this any longer. Since then, I think I can.

Anyway, the break the mood, I leaned forward and said in a serious tone, "Can I ask you a favor then, for both of us?" She kind of looked guarded and said, "sure." I said, ok, whoever finds Chicory Stout (a REALLY GOOD beer) first, buys and equal amount for the other. That got a good laugh.

Anyway, knowing that, I can move forward with keeping the possibility of rekindling this R in mind.

Great news about the place. Please enjoy the thrill of decorating it and making it your own. One of the only things keeping me intact at the moment.

I will warn you. The weeks you don't have your DD's may be lonely. Try and get as many GAL opportuniies in line. Personally I am kicking myself in the arse for not pre-planning enough. I have been in the place almost a month and I find myself in a deep depression when I am alone...which is often. No one to call, nothing to do. I have been begging my brother for company. All he did was offer up his pal who things I am hot and said I should date the dude. Please, last thing on my mind is shagging some friend of my brothers out of boredom!

Your brother have any female friends (I'll be in Boston for a trade show in March). Just kidding. Sorta.

The way that we've discussed the girls, I'll see them 12 days out of 14 between watching them after school on my wife's weeks (daddy daycare) and them being with me the other. With football season starting next week, I won't be missing anyone on Sunday anyway.

I'm joining a gym -- have it narrowed down to two. Will join once I move in -- so that'll get me out of the apt. 4 to 5 times a week. Still have dance class for another 4 weeks or so. Need to check on when Rugby season ends, but the tag-end of that after dance is over. I know there are times when it's going to be hard, but I've always been OK by myself. It's just that I've really realized recently that I don't want to be by myself all the time -- I'd like to have more friends. I also have a library of books to read. Without the extra money to buy more, may be time to start working through those -- should only take me a decade or so.

Just a suggestion, but Montgomery County has one of those freebie newspapers. It lists lots of local events, many of them free. If you have one of those where you live, check it out.

Looking forward to decorating. Biggest issue is where to put my desk that i work at. Also need to figure out a way to pretty up a huge black filing cabinet that I use for work. It's butt-ugly. Bit of searching online revealed that you can purchase iron-on wood veneer to cover that. Who knew such a thing existed!
