She actually came to tell me that she and Mike (partner) would be getting with me this week to talk about my promotion and raise but she looked like she was about to break down in tears so I told her to please not sweat that right now, I'm not going anywhere and I won't either. There's no way I'd walk out on this firm right now. With the exception of the real estate stuff (which I detest) I am the only one that knows what is going on with all her cases and the busload of new ones her partner just took. I appreciate the fact they are obviously talking about it, and knowing me, I'll continue to pick on Mike about "MY" corner office but really, I don't want her worrying about that stuff when she's got 2 kids to worry about and a life of her own to try to pick up the pieces of.
