Thanks again for posting to me. I don't know your stitch either but I know D hurts. I spent this beautiful Sunday working the final draft of my D papers. Interesting that my settlement agreement is 12 pages long - a page for each year we were married. \:\(

Hang in there guy. You seem to need more time on your journey. That is okay, take all the time you need. But check every now and then to see if there is progress.

I noticed the Chāteau d'If reference. The Count of Monte Cristo offers so much for our journey. Edmond Dantes grows from a boy into a man in that story. Everything he endures is what we must endure to become the men we were meant to be. Plug in that movie again - and watch the boy grow into a man. Look at it on a deeper level - treat the imagery as the metaphors they are.

Is he in prison or is the prison within him? Is the old priest really there or does he represent Dantes inner turmoil and growth? Does Dantes remain in prison or does he risk the unknown by going over the cliff? Is the treasure money or the wisdom he acquired? Is revenge his motive or a means to a just end to prove himself a man?

Strength and Honor.
