I've been wondering about the advice to consider moving. Is there some reason to believe that these people have it out for your brother? Do they have a reputation for bringing trumped up charges against people?
I just have to consider that the defender knows something more about them to make that kind of suggestion.
Anyway, I'm glad that the uncertainty is over, and that it sounds like things are looking good for your practice!
Oh, yeah, I was going to address the dollmaking idea on my thread and forgot. I didn't make dolls with my ex-wife. She did try to get me to work on some in the early courtship days, but I didn't go for it. I did do ceramics, and enjoyed that. It was a direct result of time spent with her when she was buying supplies, etc.
I made the doll for her at our wedding because I thought it was special. Hearing the comments from the women who were at the shop for classes, their own supplies, etc., convinced me that this would make a very big impression on her. Instead she simply did not react. Flatline response. And when she left, the doll was one of the very last things she ever took on her "visits" back.
Oh, well. At least I know enough now to help the kids when they're making their Christmas presents for her, as we did yesterday at the local ceramics place. BTW, do you realize there are only 125 shopping days 'till Christmas?
