Get a dog!!!! They really are wonderful and it's a great way to get out and meet people as well. I often meet people in my neighborhood while walking the dog and sometimes we have some really nice conversations. I'm planning to take my puppy to obedience class and then agility. I never thought I would turn into a dog lover, but they are so loyal and loving.

Let me know if you get one from the shelter. By the way, they often need volunteers and sometimes people to help raise and care for infant or special needs animals until they can become adopted. If I didn't have a puppy I might have considered that. It sounds rewarding...
