Just like you, I have in the past with no response and that is very painful.
It hurts like hell when our S's cannot reciprocate our feelings back to us. The last time I opened up to her I actually asked my W to not to say anything, no facial expressions, just hear what I have to say, and then I will leave. That was a little easier then having her respond by telling me that my love was insufficient, she was never in love with me, and has thought about leaving for the last year.
If I ever open my heart to my W again it will be because she opened up to me first and does not tear me down while doing so.
