I just got home from dance team practice and am going for a short bike ride, then going to pack for the weekend. I'll try to be back to post this evenings events, but I'll spare the suspense by saying that I didn't really get an opportunity to give the talk to W (I did see her, but it was kind of an awkward sitch). More later (hopefully).
Now I understand, I forgot it was Purpleheiz. Actually my daughter chose that email address and I took it after she went to college. My son told me that people will think i'm a druggie because I use it. She did alter the spelling to get a phonetic purple haze. I guess it was the song. But she's good with color, she may have just liked the image.
GD, I know the basic lindy step, but would need to watch you to see what you're doing, and work out combinations. I was a dance teacher of the ballet and modern dance persuasion, so I can catch on to anything. But I have a tendency to lead, so you may have to wrestle with me a bit to get me to relax. But yeah, I love to dance.
I'm sorry you didn't get to do your speech yet GD. But I think it is better to wait for an appropriate moment than to just throw it out there. You are right to wait.
GD, Hope you made it home to Boisee OK. Nomo is right, you WERE robbed. Anyway, we had a great time with the dancing! It was great to meet you and get to chat a bit.

Thanks to you too, SD! Great to meet you, as well. I had a really good time with "ya'll" this weekend. Don't know about the being robbed stuff, but I would've loved to have won a medal for my W to "accidentally" see! I really appreciated everyone willing to come to the Lindy event and cut loose a little on the dance floor. Hope you all had lots of fun with that and maybe even find some long-term interest in it!
Anyway, I'm back safely everyone (after two delayed flights -- 3 in all during the trip). I think I'm going to write Delta a comment, since this is my first experience with them and it wasn't so pleasant).
Likewise, Kat -- I was great to meet you, as well! It was nice to have the group amateur therapy sessions with ample time to discuss things.
As far as the talk goes, I'm going to call her late this afternoon right before she gets off work (I think she gets off at 5:00 Mountain Time) and ask her to stop by on her way to get the kids so I can talk to her for a few minutes. Hopefully she says "OK," because if she doesn't I don't know what else I can do besides say it over the phone. I'm going to begin brainstorming on all of the possible answers & scenarios that can arise and prepare for them now.
