Cemar my H is the one that would point blank refuse any advances when our sons were teenagers in case they'd hear as he had a hangup from overhearing his mum and dad when HE was a teenager. So some men do go into dad mode too!!!
Corri know what you mean but if you could plan a vacation with child friendly staff that supervise them for a few hours would give you more of a break plus a chance to relax and have some fun with BF.
Lots of resorts in Europe have clubs for kids with trained child minders and facilities where kids eat early and mum and dad have adult time. Mums need a break too. Must be something similar in U.S. check out for next year or make sure you and BF get a weekend somewhere romantic for just the 2 of you.
