The fact that you've come to this realization means that ending the M is no longer justified.

One thing just hit me, I can't remember if you have or not, but have you told her that you're a little scared/nervous/frightened about where things are going? Also, a little reassurance might not be a bad thing at this point. She's wanting to come back, telling her that it's going to take time, I'm scared a little too, but I think we can work together to a tremendous lifelong love affair might not be a bad thing. But, what the hell do I know, I'm not in piecing -- yet.

Also, don't prejudge the weekend. It seems that you're setting yourself up for a miserable time. I think you've got a good idea to talk to the BIL. Sounds like it's going to be nerve-wracking, but, enjoy what you can.
