OK
I guess Lissie and I are the only ones exercising. We are going to have 6-pack abs and buns of steel and you're all going to be so jealous! LOL!

I am trying to find my Windsor Pilates DVD. I thought it was great for staying limber and avoiding injuries. I had a sprained wrist that never got better until a few days after I started Pilates. I have no endurance though.

Don't hate me for saying this, but it's so hard to get motivated when you are naturally thin and trying to gain weight.

I don't hate you. I am also naturally thin and find that I actually GAIN weight while exercising. Muscle is more dense than fat, thus the same volume of muscle actually weighs more than the same volume of fat. Work out with weights and avoid doing too much cardio to burn calories. You'll put on healthy weight that way. Not weight that will be harder to lose if you ever need to later.

I want to build up my endurance for going on bike rides. The cardiologist told me to wait until I got my weight up a bit more first, but I am impatient. I want to go on a nice long bike ride through the forest preserve before winter.

I really should do some weight training. I am tired of feeling like such a weakling.

Cathe Friedrich does some EXCELLENT weight training videos. I LOVE her stuff. She has some cardio things too, but a good one would be Muscle Max and Muscle Endurance. You will need to invest in a good barbell set and some hand weights, but she's the best I've seen for women's weight training. Her web is http://www.Cathe.com

Also,
if you have FitTV you can often catch her stuff several times a week and TiVo it or record if the old fashioned way with a VCR. fittv.com has a schedule of their programming so you can see when she's going to be on if you don't have the money to buy the DVD. Her DVD's can be quite expensive.

I can just see myself getting stuck under a set of barbells.

I think I will start with what I have. My Pilates DVD, exercise bike, and cheapo stair climber with weights. Funny, H didn't want custody of any of the exercise equipment. Oh wait, that would involve physical effort. Maybe there is a SIM version of exercising.

Perhaps you should just start out with some small hand weights! \:\)
