Something that my mum did with my brother - who was actually a bit dyslexic I think, though no one knew what that was back in the 70s - was to cut out words and letters out of sandpaper and glue them onto cardboard. That way, he could FEEL the letters, which helps those with kinesthetic learning.
Oh, and did I ever tell you about this book? Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons by Englelmann. I don't like most of those books, but I think this is a good one. It also works on kinesthetics.
