Hey everyone, looks like thread locked!

Named this "Back in Shape" because physcially it has been years since I felt this good. So concentrating on things that are working as I go forward on this journey.

Hears a recap of my sitch.
Me: 44
W: 37
4 kids (D11, S9, S7, S6)
Bomb 3/2/07 - moved out same day.
4th Bomb overall

Current Status

- W's family in Dallas, two good friends close to her pulling for our M. Generally passive / aggressive.

- Me, no extended family. Controlling, anger, depression from recent neck surgery (my take) issues caused a lot of our problems

- living in an apt close to home. Over at house pretty much daily. W seems to be OK with this arrangment. Make sure I ask before I come over. In the beginning, it was not OK.

- Both in IC as of a few weeks ago, dont know if she is going now, I am going to see IMAGO based C as old C seemed not to be helping me or M.

Journaling 7.25.07
Went home last night and saw the W and kids. Took 2 hrs to get home so didnt really get to spend time with them before bath time. Wanted to take S5 to dinner but it did not work out, maybe tonight. W was very pleasant. After dinner (hamburgers on the grill, yum! with some new style big Fries) she says "did you like those fries?" I say, yep, really good, thanks.

It's weird how a statement like that has some thread of hope in it, isnt it? Not trying to read too much into it but again, in the beginning, or even if things were on the outs, why would someone ask that? Like I said, little things are weird.

We ended up watching "What not to Wear" on TLC. I always like wathcing that to see how bad people can actually dress! Had a laugh or two and then she went to bed.

That's about it. Taking S7 to a Bday party on Saturday - Astros game while something like 40 girls are going to be over at our house for a giant party for all 5th grade girls going to 6th grade. Imagine the mom's at that one, probably good I am not going to be there! LOL.

It is good that you have an arrangement like that where you can go to the house and spend time with the kids and at the same time you still stay in contact with her.

It is funny how we put so much hope in certain statements like "Do you want fries with that?" oh wrong line...I mean "Did you like those fries?". \:\) I guess we are so eager and are looking for some assurance or ray of light that we analyze everything they say or do. Don't feel bad, I do the same thing!

CVA,

Keep up the GAL, glad to see the physical activities after the neck surgery, it will help in the long run.

I'm so glad your W has a support of friends that are positive for the R. My W is surrounded by partying kids, her new girlfriends are 21-25 (W is 31, what is she thinking!), family who thinks D is the answer, and those that don't agree with her have ran.
