Why do these things happen VII

Now for a funny little tidbit my wife told me today. She called because she needed a ride. We did not talk about ourselves or our relationship, but relationship issues came up, all by her and I don't think they were the stories she wanted to actually have heard.
1. A man we both know had an affair about 3-4 months ago, wife kicked him out, changed the locks and filed for divorce. She had a change of heart and they are working on getting back together as of last saturday.
2. Another couple we both know split up and the divorce was getting close to being final in August. They moved into a place together this weekend.
3. My boss has been seperated for almost a year, his wife was major MLC, he moved home this weekend also, my wife works for same company and that is how she found that out.

It was funny that she brought up these to me, she said she could not believe that so many couples were turning around and working on being back together.
She never said it, but once again I could tell that she was in the hhmm thinking mode again.
