Nikki- Hello! I know the ebay thing is kinda risky. I keep trying to tell H to not make the guy angry. In my opinion we do have recourse because he changed the car after taking the pictures and didn't mention it until we won the auction. Then we asked for more pictures to make sure how it looked, and the back bumper he fixed looked okay, but then we got a better look at the dent he mentions and it looked way worse than he told us on the phone, plus the fact that the front bumber had two cracks in it, almost like someone tried to fix it. So hopefully it will go okay. Thanks a bunch for the fee advice. He already reported as nonpayment, and I knew about that, but not how much the listing would be. Thought it would depend on how much his starting bid was.
Hey, one of my cool fish died today. It was a bolivian Ram. Not sure what happened either. I have kinda neglected it a little though, so water could be bad, but I change it monthly. It's a big tank.
Ammonia is from the waste or anything that dies, like plants or fish. Then the bacteria in the tank will turn Ammonia into Nitrites. Then another type of bacteria will turn the Nitrites into Nitrates. This is called cycling. you have all the bacteria available (they're everywhere) but they are dormant until there is enough "food" for them. So when the Ammonia goes up, the bacteria that "eats" it will start "waking up". Then when the Nitrites go up, the other bacteria will "wake up", and so on. Nitrates are not toxic to fish unless it gets up to around 40, kinda depends on the types of fish. Hope that helps! Sorry about your ghost shrimp! I have one myself but he hides for weeks at a time.
