Yesterday I ending up going to the funeral, the wife called me at last minute and told me to get ready she would pick me up. The funeral was done very well and actually more than family showed up. This is the first time in months that I was introduced by her as "this is my husband, 789", it usually just "this is 789" so that was a nice change. Were ever I sat or was standing she was always nearby, but never let me get to close. Finally was able to get out of town about 4 hours late, but came and gave me a hug before leaving, nice to leave on that note. Didn't make it all the way to our destination, so stopped at IL's house to spend the night, they were not there and took a late nite swim with the two wild kids. Finished the drive early morning and went directly to the beach. The two had a great time playing in the surf, I only got to watch, but had fun.
So vacation is in full swing and it is going to be nothing but fun for the next week.
