I think the "pot calling the kettle black" is a consistent theme with adulterers. They have to paint themselves in a better light than someone. They can't see how they are not unique. Their love is real, soulmate stuff. Everyone else is breaking up their family for being selfish. Our marriage was broken from day 1, she feels close to him, etc. Basically anything to justify that what she is doing is not the same as anyone else that has an affair and leaves their family.
My wife will talk to me about friends we know that are getting divorced. We have one friend whose husband is leaving her, and walking away from his family. Apparently he is flying all over the place vacationing with the OW. When my wife talks about it she paints him as a bad person, and feels bad for his wife.
My wife is on vacation this weekend with the OM. (hmmm, i wonder if I should consider her a bad person).
I'm so close to filing papers myself. If i didn't have kids i probably would have a long time ago.
