Interesting articles.

Last night S6 called me to see if I wanted to go for a bike ride with them. I have the tanndem bike, so they can't go for a ride. I called back about 20 minutes later (CW knew that I was cutting the grass, so why she didn't call my cell is beyond me.) They were already at the park playing (driven there). I told her if he still wanted to go for a ride, I would ride over and we could ride back to her place. He did so I did. When I got there, we played a bit and at one point she made a statement that she wasn't in favor of "this". I asked what she meant, and she explained that she meant me taking him for a ride during her time with him????? I asked her why she called then. She replied that he called. I then asked why she told me to come over then. She said he overheard her talking. How could he figure out what she meant when she said yes or no is beyond me.

On the way home, I pumped him casually about calling me. He said that CW brought up the ride and dialed for him.......WTH.

Hey MC--the sad truth about us women is that emotions so often defy logic. Don't get too wrapped up in trying to figure her out--you're the hero, with a gloriously perfected smile and wave.

MC,

We talked about this.

No biggee.

Totally minor incident.

She couldn't make a decision. She really wanted time with S6. She let, you, the alpha-male, make the decision. And you did. The only problem is she didn't like your decision. Oh well.

She didn't want to be the "bad guy" and so to S6. She wanted, you, the alpha-male to take charge and protect "her time" with S6.

Next time, say "no" to S6. Respect the mutually agreed upon boundaries.

Don't propose activities with kids during her time. Even if you think your activity is more fun. Even if you think activity is doing her a favor. She'll interpret itas undermining to her.

If it's HER night, let her have it.

Why?

1. It shows respect to her. Very alpha-male.

2. It lets you say "no" to kids. Very alpha male.

3. It gives YOU time away. Gives you more time to GAL.

4. It gives her a taste of her boring life without you. Can't you see...you ARE the fun in this family. She's a tag-along, boring, lonely, depressed, two-timing, dead-weight at this point.

You really are doing her a favor by taking the kids, since she's clueless about what to do with herself...BUT she needs somebody to blame for her misery, so she'll blame you for taking the kids during "her" night. Give her no reason to complain.

LET HER TASTE THE FRUIT OF HER DECISION.

Olive getting a little hostile.

You might even have a cupie doll of your husband that you insert push-pins into.

Mr. Flash Dance - MY point was that MC is the fun in the family and this is bugging CW who is having to sit home alone. I would NEVER bash anyone ;\)
