DD and I just got back this afternoon! NYC was WONDERFUL!! DD and I saw 4 plays, fireworks, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Madame Tussands, Ripley's Believe it or Not, 2 days on the hop on/hop off bus and SHOPPED! Everything didn't run smoothly but we just laughed at the bumps and kept going such as ending up on the wrong side of Manhattan to see the fireworks (DD now refuses to believe that I have any sense of direction). We proceeded to jump into a cab and still catch the cruise ship and the fireworks in time! H use to plan out every detail so it was such fun to do things on the fly. We fell asleep on the top of a double decker bus listening to a tour guide droan on about Brooklyn and nearly got run over by taxi cab as we crossed the street a couple of times, saw where John Lennon was killed and all the beautiful architecture. Munched on candy for dinner during a play when we got to busy to eat before and giggled over the weirdest stuff. The bathroom in our hotel was so small that you could sit on the toilet while showering and brushing your teeth. I met people from Albania and South Africa and we got signatures and pictures from the Broadway play actors after the shows. I want to go back!!!
Thoughts of H were there but more in a "glad he is not here" way and I am amazed that I did the whole thing by myself. DD and I got to do what we wanted to and we made it from the airport and back without a hitch. I am thinking that it is ok that he is gone. I WILL be ok and maybe/probably better. I still don't want to go for a divorce but I am happy right now. Tomorrow who knows? but for right now I wish everyone could feel this good!
Now, I just got to find out why the person watching my house was arrested last night. LOL, there's always something!
