I'm around guys, just dealing with a 4-year old at home..due to not being able to get him to his sitter because of flooding...and trying to get some work done at the office remotely :-)
Heywyre...when it comes to the BBQ I'm prompted to ask you this question. When he was acting so put out and nit-picky why didn't you just tell him you didn't want him to go rather than asking him if he wanted to? I mean, call him on his snotty behavior and make the choice to have fun without him and his attitude...rather than dealing with someone reluctantly going along with a sour attitude. Remember his reaction to your honesty is not YOUR problem, it's his.
FWIW though I'm glad things worked out in the end anyway and you had a great time!
