That sounded like a pretty positive interaction to me. Especially if she is getting choked up over some things.

I can't really say she was getting choked up, but at one point it seemed like she had to fight back some tears (she was looking down so I couldn't really tell).

I think you have defiently set the stage, this is now her D, her issue

I hope so -- I almost felt like I kind of supported the D (wanted to support her choice, but don't exactly feel it came across that way. I did explain myself as best as could on the fly, and I do hope that you're right and that she's now understands that this is her D.
