Do what KML recommends. It's important that you protect your children when you're not there and you may have to assume primary care if she is violent. Abuse victims have a mantra "I'll do it next time." The unlucky ones end up dead. Protect your health and safety as your children need you. You are the stable one and if she lost it, threw something hard and hits you just right you will be dead or paralysed or blinded in that heartbeat moment of passionate anger and your children lose. Get it done.
