In a weird way, I am not. It gave me some real life lessons. Also if it did not happen, I would have never moved to the places I did and I would not have my wife and kids. So in all actuality, I wouldn't trade it for a normal life. I know, physco talk but truthful.

Not going to repeat it, but it is in my first thread between pages 8-10. I did not add the violent parts or threats of killing me or family they did in it, because that was not the parts that I have had to deal with over time.

Very good way to look at it. My H says pretty much the same about his first marriage or his early 20's. Says he doesn't like much of it but he got his first son during that time so that makes it worth it.
