Anyway, it sounds like they stumbled on a world-class therapist-- even average therapists can accomplish good things for people.

True LP - the first therapist we had, before he referred us to this guy, was what I would consider "average" - he had his good and bad points but we reached a level where he just couldn't help us anymore. He recognized that but we also did, well before he did. H and I had talked about how to approach him about referring us to someone else. This doesn't mean he didn't do us any good, because he did. As a matter of fact, as an initial therapist, I think he was a good choice. H needed someone that wasn't too in his face. Now that he is more stable, emotionally, he can handle the guy we have now and this guy can really handly my H - which is even better
