After surgery the scars looked somewhat painful but I thought the women were better looking post surgery. I saw more smiles
It was excruciatingly painful, no doubt about that. I had over 200 stitches. But, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat and wish I would have done it a lot sooner. As much as my H made that comment about it lessening his desire, he was the one that encouraged me to seek out the information and go forward with it. When I asked him about the comment he made to the doctor, he said it was selfish to think of himself as opposed to what I was going through.

Hi, I had a hysterectomy with everything removed. I think your wife needs to see a more updated doctor that will talk positive about her sexual life. If her doctor was old fashion and she was shy, then she probably heard the same old horror stories I had heard about what it's like for a woman after surgery and her doctor did nothing to encourage different thinking. Get her harmone replacement therapy. That is the key to most sexual problems, as far as the drive, etc. Find a young female doctor that knows these things and will get her the right meds. Depression may be part of it. It all works together about how she feels as a woman and if she will every enjoy sex or please you again, etc. I felt dead for ten years before I found a doctor that realized I needed harmones. She gave me some that has a trace of what the male harmones have.....anyway it made a lot of difference for me. I am 60 years old and I have decided that everything about a female is based on harmones! If the harmones are working correctly, most other things fall into place. However, there are exceptions to serious mental problems and other health problems. I did not mean to make "light" of the situation. Good luck.
It is not about what you feel should work in your M. It is about doing the work that gets the right results. Do what works!
Hi sandi2. It's good to see over 50~55 people post. I see you are M for 42 years. Me for 39.
What brought you to divorce Busting?
then she probably heard the same old horror stories I had heard about what it's like for a woman after surgery and her doctor did nothing to encourage different thinking I wish my W/BB would think a bit differently about post hysterectomy. One big problem is she had breast cancer and can't take hormones.
