Almost 8 months and counting

I went to see a lawyer today to reply to my H's filing of D. When I got there she was still tied up in court so one of the other lawyers interviewed me on her behalf. He couldn't believe some of the the crazy things that my H was doing. For instance asking me to not to try to get any of the business. He was also shocked that my H would ask for joint custody of our D16 when he doesn't even have a place to live right now (remember he is living at his office...). Also there was not a reason stated why H wants a D. AR is not a no fault state. There is a divorce statute that list about 6 or 7 things why you can get a divorce. Alcoholism, Abuse, Drugs, Insanity, Separated for 18 mos or more, and not meeting necessary needs (lawyer said this meant financial). He said that he assumes that my lawyer will file a motion to dismiss the case since there wasn't anything specific mentioned. He said for all we know he told his lawyer you were insane, which we know is not the case because you are sitting right here and I don't see where you meet any of those criteria. Let them delay it, I'm in no hurry! My H will also be shocked that I went out of town to obtain lawyer. I live in a small city and I went to our capitol city to get the lawyer. It's only about 35 miles away. I know this way there won't be any of that good ole boy mentality going on with the lawyers. H will know that I'm not going to take this lying down! I don't want a D but, if since he is pushing it I will not let him walk all over me.
