Check into the local schools and social services/park&rec. They often list playgroups, too. I did that to meet other Moms when I first moved across state lines.
Nikki- I looked into meetup, and most events are on the shore, over 1/2 hour from my house. But I'm going to keep looking... Can you tell me what the alerts do? I couldn't find directions on the web site...
btw, how's your doggie feeling? Our puppy is doing really great--second night she slept with the gate down. And she is staying in the bed with me all night long. Probably not a great practice to get into, but its helping both of us ;0) I think we are finally through housetraining solid! Yea!!!
