Well, it does matter but unfortunately, it costs a LOT of money. You can fight the D til you're broke and beyond and make it last as long as you want. Just don't agree to anything. In my state, if there is no agreement, the D proceedings can go on for years! Go look up your state statutes and see if you can get court-ordered counseling to slow things down. I know that's available in a lot of states.

Otherwise, the L's will run you through the D ringer as fast as they possibly can. They just treat clients like cattle and move on to the next ones...
