Well, here's where I'm at. I'm not planning on talking to H about it. But what I wonder is, should he find out about it at a later date, is that going to seem wierd that I didn't talk to him about it?

I also think maybe I'll just call over to that other L firm & just ask if this was a retainer that he was going to pay off in payments should he have had them do the work or do we really owe this. I'll tell them that H is out of country & we are now 'reconsiled' and I just need to know if we really owe this amount or not. It's not like me to just ignore a bill if we owe it.
