I think about NOP's idea often but like some other self centered men with ethics, well some ethics and some chickened ness, keep trying the honey gets more flies than vinegar route.
The funny thing is once you're really no longer fused to somebody, it all seems like it should have been so simple but the results might still be the same. I think if I went back in time and found myself married to my 2bx again and kept doing the end of my marriage over and over again like in "Groundhog's Day" it would be like scenes that varied in every respect except that I would be stating a boundary or taking a long overdue action and my 2bx would be getting in a car and driving far away.
