Well we leave in about an hour, looks like we will have to take two cars since I now have to come back a day early. Guess I don't have to worry about getting my hopes up or not now. Weekend is already starting to suck and haven't even left the starting gate.

why's it sucking, because you don't have to drive together? Take it as an opportunity to prepare. Listen to some soothing music on the way, whistle, do whatever you have to do to chill out before you get there, and get out of the car with a big smile on your face.
Don't be negative, look for the small signs, and be happy with those right now. From small and simple things do great things come about!

It sucks because I just lost 10 hours in the car with her. I now will only be with her one day instead of 3, going to miss the BBQ with her family for fathers day and her Bday.
She is now highly pissed at me because of this.

That is the problem, I have no one to cover for me. Her basic attitute was for me just not to go. Remember that was a problem I had in the past, working when I should have been with them.
