That I was going to do, I am more worried she actually gets me something for Fathers Day from herself. I have actually been thinking of getting her something in case she does, and if not it will remain hidden.

789, think about things she really likes. I mean really put a lot of thought into it. Then, go get her something related to that. It doesn't have to be expensive, just something you KNOW she will like.
If she likes coffee, get her a nice new mug with some special roast coffee.
If she likes music, get her a CD from her favorite singer.
If she likes Chocalate get her a small assortment of Godiva chocolates.
WHATEVER IT IS, make sure it's MEANINGFUL to her.
Then, MAKE a card, write on it in your own handwriting. NOTHING sappy, but it should be nice, and heartfelt. Sign it and date it.
Have it ready in case it feels right to give it to her. If it's not right, save it for later.
JUST MAKE SURE IT'S MEANINGFUL TO HER! Got it?

Got it, I will go out and get something for just in case.
Do you think wrapping myself up with a bow would work??
Actually I put that last line in because of my S, we went out looking for stuff for W to be from him. While shopping he made me stop in my tracks and almost cry in the store. Here is the best I can remember word for word of what he told me.
"Daddy, I know what I am going to do since it is Fathers Day and mommies birthday on the same day. I am going to get up in front of everyone and tell mommie that I am giving you to her for her birthday and I am giving mommie to you for Fathers Day."
How the heck do you respond to something like that, I was at a lose for words.

That is awesome. We all need to belike little kids and just get to the point. Stop being selfish, stop being prideful, stop feeling hurt because something prefect didn't happen, and just love each other. Kids have unconditional love for their parents. We need that unconditional love for each other.
Give your son a huge hug and thank God for him and pray that this crap you're going through doesn't screw him up. It's so unfair to the kids, I can't even help but get a little upset right now.

These are all really great ideas. Another author mentioned to repeat that you are glad that the other person came into your life. It is OK to aknowledge that you are positive about the past and it does not say "I love you" or seem threatening. It simply says you had a past and you choose to select positive not negative memories from this moment on. This has helped me a lot. So I will say, "I am glad that you came into my life." Period, no love no threats, no tears. I am hapy for that gift and happy for my kids and happy I had love once before I lost it. Maybe it will come back for both of us if we are positive. PS happy Father's Day!

It was awesome, not about the part of me almost breaking down in a store. I think from what he said he is not getting what is going on completely, which is good, he seems to be happy most of the time, he does have his moments though.
Oh yeah, I did give him a big hug. As for not screwing him up, if we get a D in the long run, we will just have to do our best as parents to make it as good as we can for him. I know I do not want him to be hurt by any of this and do my best to keep him out of most of it, but I am sure he hears or senses some of what is going on, I also believe W is doing the same by keeping him sheltered from what is going on also.

Your son has expressed something so profound and beautiful. Does he know that you still love his mother? My children know that I still love their father, but I am not sure how long I can hold on, I mean 130! I have not been 130 since I was in high school! Jeez. Your son's quote makes me want to cry. It is so sweet. I wish she was there when he said it!!!
