I think most of the worlds sees S as the same as D. Where I live, you have to be S for year to get a no-fault D, so people do file for S a lot and then convert it to D. For all intents and purposes, they are D'd (in their minds, at least).

I know that you feel it's morally wrong, but those of us who do are really a tiny minority.

If you've done your best to share your thoughts with her, that's probably all you can do. Have you given her a copy of DR?
