Well, although I do give you credit for being the most experienced wideband man on this BB, I can tell by this comment that you have little to no experience in giving blow jobs. The ratio of posterior size(length) to depth of mouth from teeth to soft palate is THE essential problem of giving a blow job which one can never overlook (unlike issues of width, thickness, weight). Now, I am 5'9" and my mouth is probably in proportion and the length from my teeth to soft palate is 2.5 inches. So if the standard penis was maybe up to 4 inches long when erect then giving decent head would be a no-brainer. However, this is not the case so it is worthwhile to develop a bit of technique.

The standard novice error to make in this regard is to open one's mouth wider for a moment in order to gain more depth. Bad move. Doing this can cause three problems; teeth exposure, loss of "suction" and excess lubrication. Two better approaches to the problem would be either "the megaphone" or "the shoehorn". With "the megaphone" you lock your fingers to your lips like you're talking into a megaphone then instead of thinking "I'm putting this penis into my mouth" you think "I'm putting my mouth on to this penis" kind of like a pair of pantyhose. The soft palate stretches so as you work your way down you can eventually lose the fingers (or if you are married to Chrome add another hand). With "the shoehorn" you curl your lips over your teeth and then stick your tongue out over your lower lip. Right away you get an extra inch or two of "mouth" depending on how long or flexible your tongue is. The suction is reduced at first but you can press up with your tongue and then pull it in once your palate is stretched.

There are two ways to avoid gagging while maximizing depth. The first and most appropriate in most instances is to simply give the palate time to stretch so you don't go so far back that you gag. The other way to avoid gagging is to swallow. In my experience this only works if you are giving head in a "hot" situation as opposed to a "warm" or "cool" situation because you have to be having a thought/vibe along the lines of "I'm going to suck your brains out." in order for the swallowing to be kind of natural. I should note that I am not referring to swallowing after he comes (which IMO is standard) but while in the act.
