Billy finally cracked, I had a pretty major backslide. W owes me quite alot of money, not quite 5 figures but close. I have a legal document that supports this and she knows it.

She recieved her tax refund I am guessing because she called and offered 1500 dollars, she assumed this would cover the money owed (can we say delusional) I explained to her exactly how much was owed and the reasons behind the amount, she agreed. I told her 1500 would be a down payment and we could work out a payment plan for the rest.

She got angry and told me she would pay what she wanted when she wanted. I informed her that wouldn't work for me, she got spewey and told me that's how it's going to work.

Here comes the backslide.............

Me: W you can take your 1500 and shove it right up your ***, I'll see you in court.

W: You are nothing but a prick sppppeeeeeeewwwwwwwww (hangup)

For now I am at a total loss of what to do

Any ideas?

lawless,
The way I see it, you have two options: 1) let the dust settle, call her up and apologize for allowing your anger to get the better of you; or 2) take her to court.

When they are in mlc, if you threaten them, you better be ready to follow through because if you don't, they'll continue to do what they want and when they want.

I'm very sorry that she's acting like this.

Holy carp, I got a visit from snodderly I feel like i won an award here, or it was a big enough slide to warrant such a visit ;)Thanks for that Snodderly it's kinda what I was thinking as well.

I am calm as a moonlit night Lissie, her selfish snotty attitude just caught me at a bad time is all.

You know, I've been thinking about this for an hour or so and this is one of the ways she *used* to treat me for the last few years.

I think it's time for me to man up and let her know this attitude towards me isn't going to work, I can think of no better way than letting a judge tell her.

Truth be known she will probably not even remember this in a year or so anyway.

lawless,

Personally, I don't see it as a backslide. The legal document spells out that she owes you.

Lawless,

How about waiting a few days and then contacting her andaying something like "I haven't done anything with this yet, would you like to calmly discuss it before I do?"

To me it puts you in control, but gives her enough that she doesn't feel like she is being pushed around. It also avaoids you looking like an A-hole (in her eyes) by taking her to court over it.

Just my thoughts.

I think Imageer is right on. You are controlling the situation, but allowing her to feel like she has a choice.

Are you really ready for legal battles? Who is, right?

Think on it for a bit before you do anything.

Sending encouragement your way.........bambam:)

I am telling you, if you tell her let's sit down and discuss this calmly, she will freak.
