I do not recommend you having a R talk this early.

Your statement that you are worried you will get pissed off inside if she says no just proves that you HAVE EXPECTATIONS.
At this stage, you need to work on having NO EXPECTATIONS.

When you are at that place where it wouldn't completely devastate you if she said no, THEN you can take this step and have a R talk.

You are in danger of taking your sitch BACKWARDS by about 2 weeks or more if you jump this gun.

I have been DBing since early March. Do you think it is too early to have any R talk? I think I'll practice her love language and continue small talk and hold off any R talk unless the timing is right.

Yes I do think it is too early.

By all means, practice her love language and continue small talk for now, though.

I am also not convinced you have done the soul-searching required to take the steps to be back together without screwing it all up again. I'm sorry to sound mean because I know you have been through a lot and are sincerely hurt. I don't mean to drag you down but I have seen several people jump the gun only to end up right back here a few months later.

If you want to save your family, there's some nasty grunt work you have to do. It starts not only with realizing how you should have been a better husband but getting down to the nuts and bolts of WHY you WEREN'T IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Do you understand?

Thanks AmyC.

I understand. I will practice her love language and continue small talk. When something small happens or I hear something good, I want to jump all over it and fix.

Quick question Amy.

Should I put my ring back on while speaking her love language? It means a lot to her for me to wear my ring. She was upset when I didn't wear it golfing.

Agreed. Are you still married? Wear the ring. I have mine on, despite my wife not having worn hers for the last 6 months.

I'm still married, I'm still here fighting for my marriage, I wear my ring and a reminderband to help me NEVER forget.

Good luck man, it'll work out for you if you take your own advice and relax and let things come to you a little. You'll be fine

What is a "reminderband"?

Is that like a rubberband around your wrist that you snap yourself with everytime you see a pretty lady or something?

Sounds twisted.

But highly effective!

Yes! I'll put it on. I am sure that she is going to notice this immediately and she will comment. I am not sure what to respond back with. Any ideas?
