I have begun a new chapter in my saga with exW. I do honestly believe what we had is over. That is fine. However, at this very point, I want to start over with her.
I was talking to a guy who was supposed to paint my house. He said, "I gave the proposal to your wife." I had to break it to him she no longer my wife or around. He and I ended up chatting for three hours! Essentially, his wife left him and divorced him. She did everything she could to push him away. When I told him all exW had said and done, he seemed pretty convinced she was pushing me away NOT because she did not love me but because she was afraid to love me and had some of her own demons to face.
I sent her the following in an e-mail:

I wanted to let you know if you need anything, whatever it is, I will be there for you. If you ever want to talk about anything, I will be here to listen. You still mean so very much to me.
This is a complete 180 for me because I said I did not want to have anything to do with her.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
