Ok, just a short update before we head off to the MC appointment (and to tell him he's just not qualified to be handling our problem and to refer us to the ST)
It was a short day today so I was leaving the office a little earlier than usual and H calls and says he's about 20 minutes from where I am, do I want to meet for lunch. Sure, I say and wait at the local coffee shop for him
We have a pleasant lunch and head home. When we get home he says "I never got a hug" and I say, "neither did I". I gave him a hug and a kiss and he said something I have NEVER heard him say in the whole 18 years we have been together. He said, "I was thinking about that while coming along the I5" - referring to the hug. WOW!! He actually admitted that he was thinking about a hug from me - how kewl is that?
I know this might sound minute in some people's lives but to me this is HUGE!! (doesn't take much to make me happy )

I feel the same way when my H tells me he's been thinking about jumping my bones....or been wanting to. He may not even get around to doing anything about it, but hearing that he's thought about it...well, in our sitch's you know how good that makes you feel!!!
I'm glad you hung in there too. It'll all be worth it in the end.

Well, the MC appointment went VERY well. I don't know if H spoke this way because he knew it might be our last meeting with this particular MC but, whatever the reason, I am holding on to ALL he said.
H told MC that he is "very fortunate" to have me in his life and that I am "a very grounded and strong woman". He also said that for the first time in his life he "knows what love really is" and "feels closer to (me) than ever before". He also said he is starting to real enjoy just having "us" time again. How much that makes my heart swell I can't express in words
Can it get any better than that? (well, maybe a little sex on the side wouldn't hurt )
We will be moving on to the ST - I just have to make an appointment now (hope he's not too busy as I would like to get moving on this ASAP)

This is just so great! I'm so happy for you. My H has been making comments like yours too this last year. They still take my breath away when he says them.
It was really strange (and wonderful of course) to hear him say those things. It's been such a long time since I heard words like that. When we got home I told him how wonderful it was to hear him say those things about me and he seemed surprised and said "well, shouldn't I be saying things like that about my wife?"
I said "yes, but its been such a long time since I've heard words like that and it made me feel really good"

I emailed the ST's office (because it is a long weekend and I knew they were closed so I figured they would get it first thing Tuesday morning and we could take it from there about setting up an appoinmtent)
The ST himself emailed me back at 11:30 last night (if you can believe it) and said he was really booked but had a cancellation for May 30th and did I want it (heck yes I want it!!!)
And .... get this, as much as he has treated people with this complex, I am sure it doesn't come up all that often. However, he is currently treating another couple where the man has the complex. So, that means, there is someone currently paving the way for us as we go through it.
I never thought I would be so excited to go see a ST - lol
