I have one child, who, like your H, is a classice type 5 and it's impossible to get her to come forward spontaneously with her feelings, although she feels a lot. I've learned a trick, though...I can get stuff out of her while driving in the car!
Interesting. Does she prefer not looking at you while she's talking? I know cac doesn't like to do this. Maybe she feels more comfortable in the car because you can't look directly at her and she doesn't have to look at you.
I'll have to remember this because S4 is showing signs of being the "scientist" type AND an HSP. It'll be interesting to see his personality emerge over the next few years. I usually ask him about school and such while we're driving home from school, so I'll keep it up. Thanks for the tip!
