Matilda and Penny, The picnic with my W and MIL went very well. My MIL was concerned that I did not go on the last outing with my W and her. My presence was requested and appreciated.
The dance party was OK. I got to meet and dance with two new ladies. I'm always looking to expand my network. I'm still working my way up to dancing with the better lady dancers. I have to be patient, and enjoy where I'm at skillwise. It's too easy to compare yourself with others.
My dance lessons at the studio continue to go well. I always leave with feedback on how to improve something. It's money and time well spent. It's also nice to practice with the same people.
My W invited me to one of her dance lessons, as her competition partner has been unreliable lately. I declined, as I know her expectations would be too high for me to meet. Our temperaments and learning styles are different. She's a quick study, and I learn incrementally. She said, "we're getting along so well these days. Doing lessons together would likely have me being upset with you."
I'll be in Boston for my neice's religious ceremony. I'm travelling solo. I think it's a good decision, due to the state of our M. I don't think our M, or my W is in a position of enough strength to manage a family gathering. She seems OK with the decision, though for different reasons
My W has slept elsewhere 5X this month (10X in April).
