My D just loves it at Cal Poly! I like it because it is a friendly environment, and a competitive school with a great reputation, SLO is a wonderful smallish town and a nice place to visit if I feel like going there. D was also recruited by her department. CalPoly has one of the best freshmen "orientations' that I have ever seen...They have an entire "week of welcome" or WOW for the new students that is the week before the rest of the campus gets there. they do lots of team building and other activities to get to know the campus and the area.
