Yes, Nikki, I can see people from out of town if they come in to see me. If it's just a thyroid issue, they might want to see me for a one-time consult and then take the info back to their regular doc, or they might come in to see me twice a year and check in by phone in between.
I ordered furniture for the waiting room this morning! Unfortunately, my "to-do" list is as long as my arm. I'm getting excited, though. I do have moments of anxiety, wondering how long it will take to build up my patient base to the point where I can break even, but then I think: "If you build it, they will come". I KNOW that if I can just start to reach those patients that need what I offer, especially those thyroid patients, that word-of-mouth will soon bring me all the patients I need. (Heck, I had one very satisfied patient the other day who took a whole fistful of cards with her as she left!!! Nothing like restoring a middle-aged woman's libido to make her - and her husband - very grateful!)
So - I saw an article today, apparently Freud had an affair with his wife's sister, there's even an old hotel register where he signed them in as husband and wife!!!
